Keisha Gervais,

owner/Artistic director/choreographer

Keisha Gervais has been teaching dance for 15 years in a wide range of styles including Ballet, Pointe, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Tap, Afro/Caribbean, and Preschool dance. Keisha grew up training at a private dance studio participating in competitive dance. She also received dance training at James Hubert Blake High School for Fine Arts majoring in Dance with a concentration in choreography. She began working as a student choreographer under the mentorship of the Dance Director, Donna Reese, developing her unique sense of style based on her Afro-Indian and Caribbean heritage. At Eubie Blake HS, Keisha was a member of her Poms Squad, Step Dance Team, and Modeling Club.

Keisha professionally trained with the Dance Theater of Harlem’s DC Residency program for 2 years in Ballet and Pointe, and studied dance through various dance teacher training conferences and seminars including DanceLife Teacher Conference, Dance Teacher Summit, and Dance Teacher Web Expo. She was also a coach and choreographer for an All-Star Cheer & Dance Team; the Fairland Falcons and won a community organization award for excellence in mentorship. Keisha also received numerous accolades for her work with various youth organizations in Montgomery County, Maryland including The Modelling Moppetts. Through her various professional experiences, thorough dance education research and development, and diligent training, Keisha has become a self-taught dance education professional. In addition, Keisha graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Alternative Medicine from Everglades University concentrating in Anatomy and Manual Therapies. Her training and years of work as a Physical Therapy Assistant has allowed her to safely teach young dancers with an understanding of anatomy, physiology, and how growth and development affect dancers.

With her innovative choreographic style, Keisha’s work has been recognized for several judge’s choice, special recognition, and choreography awards over the last 6 years. Keisha specializes in creating works catered to the strength of her dancers regardless of their competitive level. Her ability to make dancers shine in their strengths is what attracts students to her. Keisha is a strong advocate for diversity in dance and in the competition world. In her studios, she has promoted self-love, body positivity, and cultural diversity in music and dance.

In addition to dance, Keisha is certified in Acrobatic Arts, a licensed Cosmetologist in the State of Maryland, has done professional runway modeling, and pageants. Keisha is very excited to take Power House Dance to the next level!


Zoë West, Instructor/choreographer

Mrs. Zoe Is dedicated to training dancers with the same passion that she has carried and continues to, in her dance career. Dancing herself for twenty plus years, teaching for over ten, she has achieved advanced certification in I.S.T.D./C.D.T.A and R.A.D. She has studied under the direction of Heidi Robitshek “Nutcracker”, Annie Wood “Dance Fuzion”, Clarence Ford “Dance Fuzion”, Brian Friedman “Dance Fuzion” and Heather Clarke - Parris Academy of dance. Zoe is also a member of Dance Masters of America & DTA of VA; she is always attending many different dance conventions and workshops to keep up with the fast moving dance industry. With a love for competitive dance, Zoe has choreographed many dances for competitive teams taking top awards in many genres of dance. Her choreography has received overall high score awards as well as special judges awards in numerous nationally recognized competitions, at both the regional and national level. Zoe believes that dance is one of the greatest gifts that we have inside of us and is grateful to help her dancers express themselves through dance. She thoroughly enjoys teaching children of all ages and all genres of dance and is excited for another season on the Power House team.


Tempy Barbru, Vocal Coach

Mrs. Tempy began performing on stage in San Diego at age 12, acting in regional summer stock and stage plays for theatrical, civic and educational associations, and honing her vocal craft with well-known vocal coaches Valerie Post, Harald Stephens and Robert Boucher. Ms. Barbru moved into professional summer stock with Starlight Opera, not only as a core actress, but also as a weekend announcer. At 16, she was chosen for the prestigious Southern California Youth Chorale and toured Europe as the lead soloist for the group, giving command performances at Italy’s Lake Como, where she was given the key to the city, Buckingham Palace, and the Town Hall in Regensburg, Germany, for the Tirolian Festival. Tempy has appeared in over 75 regional and LORT theatre productions in California, Texas, and Virginia, at theatres such as Coronado Playhouse, San Diego Repertory Theatre, Dogwood Dell, Carpenter Center Cabaret Hall, Starlight Opera, Theatre IV (now Virginia Repertory Theatre), Fort Worth Dinner Theatre, Theatre Virginia, Haymarket Theatre, and Virginia Stage Company. Ms. Barbru has won several awards for “Best Lead in a Musical”, and is the winner of numerous regional and national awards for acting, vocals and public speaking. She spent over ten years with the well-known cabaret group, Cabaret Tonight! Her vocal interests have taken her to voiceover work on TV and radio, serving as co-host for “Morning Edition” for several years on public broadcasting station, WHRO. Tempy has close to three decades of non-profit management and currently continues to consult clients. Tempy is excited to share her knowledge and education with her students as the Vocal Coach at Power House.


Jasmine Smith, instructor/choreographer

Jasmine spent her childhood in Virginia and trained for many years at The Virginia Ballet Theatre. Pat Sorell had a significant influence during Jasmine’s formative years. Following the close mentoring of Ms. Sorell, Jasmine continued her dance training under many prestigious teachers, such as: Rachel Hamrick, Madame Adrienne Dallas, Irene Hogarth Cimino (current youth ballet instructor for Joffrey Ballet) and Zelma Busllo. Madame Dallas also created and choreographed her own unique Ballet that showcased Jasmine’s abilities as a dancer. At age 15, Jasmine participated in The Joffrey Ballet’s trainee program for professional dancers. Jasmine has performed in The William & Mary presentation of “The Nutcracker” for a number of years. She has performed alongside the likes of Travis Wall, Adrienne Canterna, and Melanie Hamrick (current ABT principal dancer). Jasmine also performed with Ballet Hispanico in NYC. Jasmine graduated from James Madison University as a centennial scholar. She was a Theatre & Dance major, a Spanish major, and a Medical Spanish minor. During her time at JMU she was a member  and choreographer of The Contemporary Dance Ensemble. She has also performed professionally as a dancer at Busch Gardens Theme Parks and in various videos and shows throughout the years. She began her own dance Company; Libre Dance USA. This year in 2018 they were featured in The Lan music festival and in the Virginian Pilot.

Jasmine’s dance teaching philosophy: “It is not just the movement but the passion behind the movement that creates it’s beauty.” Jasmine’s love for dance has kept her teaching for the past 15 years. She has branched from Ballet Director to Competitive Coach. Jasmine’s choreography has won high scores and overalls at local regional competitions. Jasmine is a Spanish teacher at a nearby high school. She was just recently married in May and looks forward to having a future Power House dancer of her own.


Brittany mazzullo, instructor/choreographer

Brittany Mazzullo grew up dancing and cheering competitively in southern Maryland for 16 years. After graduating she pursued her passion for Early Childhood development working in private preschools in both Maryland and Virginia. Brittany has a background in Early Childhood Development, Business Development, Public Relations and Marketing. Utilizing her experience and passion for dance she has spearheaded our Early Childhood Arts Enrichment Program teaching students 1.5-6 years of age in the studio and at local schools throughout the area. Brittany continues to train as a dancer and attend dance teacher workshops to continue to give your children the best dance experience she can. Miss Brittany is honored and excited to share her passion for dance with the dancers at Power House.


Suzanne Glass, Instructor/Choreographer

Suzanne has taught ballet, modern and developmental dance classes in several studios and programs in Williamsburg and runs an adaptive dance program for students with special needs. Growing up, she studied under and performed with Broadway and movie professionals as well as university instructors at the Dance Conservatory of New England. While in southern New England, she performed with Callboard Dance Theatre and small regional companies. She was a soloist with the University Dancers at the University of Richmond and performed as a demi soloist in Williamsburg. She is a charter member of the National Dance Association and has received support and pedagogical training from its leadership. Suzanne is excited about the talent and potential at Power House Dance and can’t wait to tap into it!


Apryle Gribble-Herczeg, Instructor/Choreographer

Apryle’s professional career began at age 16 traveling across the country teaching and assisting at Dance Conventions and Workshops with well-renowned teachers and choreographers such as FRANK HATCHETT, DEBBIE DEE, GUS GIORDANO, JO ROWAN, PATRICIA DICKINSON, DENSIL ADAMS, KENNETH GREEN and ART STONE.

She then made her way to Las Vegas Nevada where she performed six nights a week and shared the stage with MICHAEL CRAWFORD, DAVID CASSIDY, TOMMY TUNE and RICK SPRINGFIELD in the $75 million Stage Production of “EFX” at the MGM GRAND HOTEL AND CASINO.

While living her dream on the stage, her opportunities to perform expanded to television with performances on the TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO, THE LEARNING CHANNEL, ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS, FOX NEW YEARS EVE SPECIAL and several commercials.

During her career, Apryle has trained at BACKSTAGE I (Las Vegas),

BROADWAY DANCE CENTER (New York City), CIVIC LIGHT OPERA (Pittsburgh), and POINT PARK UNIVERSITY (Pittsburgh). She has also studied, trained and worked with top choreographers and performers in the dance industry, some of which include: ARLENE PHILLIPS, KAREN BRUCE, MIA MICHAELS, MISSY COCHRAN, PAUL FRANKLIN, RALPH PERKINS, and performers and trainers from CIRQUE DU SOLEIL.

From 2007-2015, Apryle was the Owner and Artistic Director of COMPANY G DANCE CENTER. She has been on staff at MILLENNIUM DANCE COMPLEX PITTSBURGH and is a guest teacher and choreographer for several dance studios in Pittsburgh, Pa and Williamsburg, VA.

Apryle believes she has a responsibility to give the best of herself to each student and continues to research and study her craft so that her students will always be challenged, inspired and passionate.


Jessica Templeton, Instructor/Choreographer

After training in Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Contemporary dance at Eastern Virginia School for the Performing Arts. Jessica went on to instructing in ballet, lyrical and jazz classes for beginner through advanced students. Jessica has taught advanced contemporary, pointe, ballet and jazz. Throughout her teaching career she has choreographed for many recitals and Christmas specials. She loves to challenge her students and watch them grow in technique and creativity. As a nursing student by day Jessica is very excited to be a part of Power House Dance and have the opportunity to share her knowledge and passion for dance with our dancers of all ages.


Stephanie delneky, Instructor/Choreographer

Stephanie is a self-taught hip hop dancer whose passion for dance was ignited by watching Step Up movies and YouTube videos. Stephanie is a graduate of Christoper Newport University, with a degree in psychology and minors in leadership and sociology. She continued her education with a Masters in Sport Psychology and is working on her certification in Strength and Conditioning. In addition, Stephanie is currently the Assistant Coach for CNU Storm, the university's elite competition dance team. The past two years, Stephanie has traveled to L.A. to learn from some of the top choreographers in the business. She is looking forward to bringing her hip hop flare to the students!

érica campaigne, Instructor/Choreographer

At seven years old, Erica began her dance journey. Growing in love with dance she continued through high school where she also found a passion in cheerleading and in theater. 

Érica attended Syracuse University in New York where she studied theatre and dance.  She eventually transferred to Arizona State University continuing her pursuit in both areas, taking the Modern track for her dance studies. 

While in Arizona, she discovered the more competitive side of both cheer and dance. She began coaching and teaching and feel in love with the work. Both of her high school dance and cheer teams won State Titles. She also taught at a competitive dance studio where she choreographed and taught a variety of ages and genres. 

Since moving back to Virginia she has taught at studios from Buena Vista to Richmond. Her specialties include Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, and Acro/Tumbling. 

 Some of Érica’s credits include The Nutcracker, Damn Yankees, Love’s Fire, Grease, and Beauty and the Beast to name a few.  Her choreography has been featured at Disneyland, Phoenix Suns games, and Globetrotter games. She has earned a multitude of awards including platinum and overall placements at regional and national competitions, as well as choreography awards. She received the Universal Dance Association’s Coaches Leadership Award and has been nominated for Coach of the Year. 

Érica is so excited to be joining Powerhouse Dance this season!


Deanna Bellando,

competition choreographer

Deanna Bellando began her studies at a young age and has an extensive background in theatre and dance.  She trained with the Royal Academy of Ballet and American Ballet programs as well as studied with industry professionals including Frank Hatchett, Shelia Barker, Michele Assaf and Chris Lee to name a few.   Deanna’s performance credits include Annie Get Your Gun, Busted Nuts, The Nutcracker, The Pro Bowl Halftime Show with N’Sync and Perceptions Contemporary Dance Company.  Deanna also had the honor to spend two seasons touring with Star Systems’ “Success America” assisting master teachers as well as being on the first cast of Team Rave NY.

As a graduate of Dean College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance, Miss Deanna studied dance and performance in addition to psychology, pedagogy and kinesiology. Miss Deanna fulfilled many opportunities to perform and choreograph for the college.  As a staff member for Dancers Inc. Dance Competition and Convention, Deanna travels the country as a stage manager, adjudicator and master teacher.  Deanna has taught and choreographed for many dancers on the east coast training them to successfully receive national titles, overall high scores, scholarships and industry opportunities.  Her dancers have gone on to perform in NY and LA, on Broadway and become dance educators at dance studios, colleges and universities. Deanna has won numerous choreography awards for her choreography at the competitive level.  Miss Deanna has judged for the Cinderella Pageant as well as choreographed for the Miss Virginia Outstanding Teen and Preteen pageant where her choreography was showcased in the Miss Virginia televised pageant.  Miss Deanna loves sharing her passion of dance with her students and watching them grow as young dancers as they continue to achieve their goals. As Power House celebrates their 5 year anniversary, Deanna is honored to continue to develop the artistic vision of Power House with your dancers in the classroom and with the Power House team.
